Sausage Stuffing

Sausage Stuffing
I usually make stuffing with just onions, carrots and celery, but this Thanksgiving I added crumbled sausage. It dramatically boosted the flavour up several notches. No need for butter, since the stuffing was cooked in the drippings from the crumbled sausage. To make your own Stove Top stuffing follow this recipe.

Ingredients:

1 pkg. Stove Top chicken stuffing
1 large onion, peeled and chopped
1 large carrot, peeled and chopped
3-4 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 lb. Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
1-1/2 cups chicken broth

Directions:

1. Brown sausage, add onions, carrots and celery and stir-fry until vegetables are cooked.
2. Boil chicken broth and add to cooked sausage and vegetables.
3. Stir in stuffing, remove from heat, cover and set aside for 10 minutes.
3. Fluff with fork and serve.
